Re: Dell Hybrid Desktop Computer

They certainly look attractive. Probably rely a lot on laptop type components, and since Dell have been doing lappys for somoe time, I'd expect it to be reasonable.

Main thing's I'd be concerned about is expandability and compatibility with non Dell hardware. You'd no doubt be very restricted if you want more Hard Disk Space, memory or stuff in the future. It's probably great for general purpose internet, wordporcessing and such like, but gaming could be interesting. Therefore buy it only if you think it's good for now and your expected future needs.

Re: Dell Hybrid Desktop Computer

Its just a laptop without the screen. The hard drive and ram will be replaceable, but it wont be very good graphics wise.

Re: Dell Hybrid Desktop Computer

you could buy or build something around a mini itx set up.

it is just the gfx and hdd capacity that lets it down as well as missing out on esata as for expansion this would have been ideal

The intel 3100 rates lesser than a Radeon x1250 and a little bit better than an Nvidia 7150M so it is low end gaming only
