Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's Christmas C4 speech

The world heard the ramblings of this guy. I`ve read most of what he has to say on another forum. The phrase "backpedaling" comes to mind.

It makes no difference to me anyway, my mind is already made up, this guy is a loose cannon looking for a big gun.

He does speak the truth, in the small preview on the news - even if you think hes trying to be mr nice guy in everyones eye.

The media can manipulate everyone.

There are many views, but people tend to believe the media most of the time.

I don't know who to believe, I'll stay neutral on the issue and I will be watching his speech carefully.

I am looking forward to it, we have two options with Iran. Ignore them, be scared of them, and raise tensions leading to a very horrible situation. Otherwise we can try and engage them. They are not some desolate country which does not have something to lose by distancing themselves from us. So we both have something to gain from each other.

Perhaps more a case of eye-rolling as this seems to be no more than a cheap publicity stunt designed to bring peoples' attention to a tv channel which has largely failed to drag itself out of the gutter since coming into existence.

My worry is that clerics are managing Iran's schools, hospitals, universities, major utilities etc without any proper training. They have managed to screw up the lot...

Mahmoud ridiculed us/our captured boys and girls, he is a mastermind of the media. Do not forget he is a politician and he has to play the local crowd/clerics...

It's a good thing that we live in a country where something like this can be broadcast. I doubt the Queen's speech would be heard in Iran, except maybe from foreign broadcasts, but then the Queen is virtually powerless and will have zero affect on the future of the Middle East, so the value of anything she has to say is non-existent to the rest of the world.
As for hearing a different point of view, well everyone should be willing to think beyond the box and at least listen to what the other-side has to say. Does it really make sense to believe that we're always the good guys and they're always the bad guys? I'll never be brainwashed enough to ever believe that.

His speech is a crock, a publicity stunt partially aimed at us. He mentions Britain in his speech. He knows Britain is one of the major training & recruiting grounds for Islamic fanatics. Britain is fast becoming a transit camp for terrorists.

This guy is probably one of the most dangerous people in the world. His rants & death threats show the world Iran is led by an unstable idiot. The problem is compounded by yes men, & clerics, who spout their own brand of religion.

If Iran continues on its Nuclear program, I believe they will be attacked, & their sites blasted to hell. The thought of this raving lunatic commanding a nuclear bomb is unthinkable.

Despite any speech he gives, or promises he makes, his aims will not change.

He is fast becoming the reason why no one is dealing with Iran in a nice manner and why there have been hints about military action the man is dangerous and has no viewpoint to put other then hate.

The president of Iran has to share his power with many other factions all vying to put their opinions forward and thus Iran gives the outward face of being rather schizoid to the rest of the world.

What he has to say may well sit well with one faction but not another which will lead to him sometimes appearing to contradict himself or even to back pedal on certain view points and then to reverse back again as he tries to juggle all these differing factions.

Sounds familiar doesn't it?
