Ice Road Truckers - Ask Hugh anything...
Hey guys,
I’ve had permission from the Admin (Stuart C) to post here on behalf of The History Channel, about season 2 of Ice Road Truckers, A show that seems to have some followers here. We are currently looking for your feedback and thoughts on the series, all of which will be taken on board.
We also have a great chance for all fans of the show! We want you guys to submit your questions to Hugh from the show, we will put the best ones to him in an interview later this month…
So, ever wondered how cold it gets, how treacherous it is, and what it’s really like out on the Ice Roads?
Post your questions here and the best ones will be asked to Hugh… Of course, we’ll let you know of the answer…
Thanks for your time, and we look forward to hearing your feedback/questions

Re: Ice Road Truckers - Ask Hugh anything...
Thanks for the thread. I love IRT.
My questions to the Polar Bear would be....
How much training does it take to get to the point where you can haul 40 tonnes on the ice road?
Is there a waiting list of people trying to get on to the road?

Do you ever get a flat while driving on the ice, if you do what do you do?

If that ice cracks... and she starts to sink - what is the latest estimated arrival time expected for a rescue attempt?
What qualifications in HGV mechanics do the drivers need to have?
And why don't the drivers dress ummm warmer .

Re: Ice Road Truckers - Ask Hugh anything...
I have watched all EP's of IRT S1 & S2. Great TV although the emphasis on the danger is pushed a bit to much.
Would I ask Hugh anything, nah not really. Dont see him as the real *star* of the show, its the underdogs that I enjoy watching and listening to.
But there are some questions I would pose to one other member of the trucking fraternity.
Drew, do you think you'll ever got a full season driving on the ice (over water) rather than driving over ice (on the road)?

Thanks for your questions guys...
I'll be talking to Hugh later today and putting some of your questions to him.
Last chance if anyone wants to submit anymore!

Re: Ice Road Truckers - Ask Hugh anything...
I've just noticed that the first four episodes of series two are now available in HD on VOD.
