Weird V-Box Problem
Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me.
For the past few days everytime I plug my v-box in first thing in the morning the three symbols on the front of the box (standby, modem & remote) flash like a strobe light for around 5-10 minutes before the box actually gets to the Virgin logo and from then on it's fine for the rest of the day.
Whilst the box is flashing it makes a popping sound when the TV is on the scart selected for the v-box.
Should I be concerned about this?

Re: Weird V-Box Problem
From your second sentence, it appears you unplug the box each night - can you confirm this?

Yes that's right. I've unplugged it every single night for the past 3/4 years and this is the first time i've ever had a problem.

Re: Weird V-Box Problem
Sounds like it is dying. You have three choices. 1) Leave it on. 2) Report it to VM. 3) Put up with it.

Re: Weird V-Box Problem
Thank you for the advice guys I didn’t realise it would be serious enough that I would have to contact Virgin.
Is there a specific time to contact them over the phone so I won’t be put through to a foreign call centre? Just I struggle to understand people on the phone as it is without adding other accents into it.
Thanks again for the help.

Re: Weird V-Box Problem
i would do but with it probably being a fault i know i'll get put throught to india + thats just a waste of time in my opinion as both customer e.g. myself + person on the other end more often than not fail to understand each other because of the language barrier.

Re: Weird V-Box Problem
Then you probably have no choice but to put up with it until it fails completely, and then phone VM.
