Neither name rang any bells, so had to look them up. I think the only things Williams has been in that I've seen are Dr Who, & Time Gentlemen Please, & none of the characters/roles sounded familiar, so can't have made that much of an impression on me.
James McAvoy, however, has been in the Dune mini-series, & Band of Brothers, both of which I enjoyed. Of the 2 I'd chose McAvoy.

Heard of, yes. Watched, no. I've seen trailers/clips which put me off it. I do like some British comedy, but there's a lot that just isn't to my taste.

I think Izzard would excellent as long as he wasn't 'femmed up'. Nothing against that sort of thing but I think that would be just stretching the imagination a little too far.
