spare v+ box?
I moved house recently and took my v+ box with me and when virgin turned up he had a new shiny v+ box which he installed but our lass let him install it not thinking we still had a v+ box....
I told them it was a transfer of service so shouldnt they have just installed
my old box?
my question is could i plug my old v+ box in upstairs and get the channels
or will the card inside be turned off now as i have a new account number
for some reason?
thanks..

Re: spare v+ box?
The old card will be disabled now I suppose you could probably get a Multiroom upgrade but wether they'd actually use the box I dunno, they'd probably bring another one, I'm afraid its no use to anyone else (and you're not allowed to sell it either) so it's just an expensive doorstop for the time being. Your best bet might be to ring VM and ask them to come and collect it or you could end up with a hefty non return of equipment bill which I beleive to be £250

Not being funny but if you work for Virgin Media then shouldn't you already know what you can and cannot do?

Yes but presumeably you have access to internal systems which normal Joe Public doesn't?
