[Update] Matt Smith is the new Doctor Who
This thread is intended to be a companion to http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/23...l#post34664745.
With the news that David Tennant is to step down as Doctor Who after the specials ( http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7698539.stm ), who do you think would be a good doctor?
I have to admit, I am not sure, but I personally think that Alan Rickman, David Thewlis or Steve Coogan could pull it off. I also think that Patrick Stewart could be good, but you run the risk that a lot of people would see him as Captain Picard or Professor Xavier playing Doctor Who.
I realise that none of those is likely to happen (they would cost too much).
