I have never been so wet as when I got back from walking the dog before - she is still soaking and we were only out for half an hour.
Probably not the best idea to walk through a field when lightning is right on top of you but I didnt take her this morning because it was so wet.

The first snow of the season is lying on the mountain tops to the north of me. I can see the summit of Beinn Narnain from my dining room window, and it looks very pretty indeed. The snow line is at approx. 600 metres.
I'll post a pic later when I find my camera. |

Had to google then where it was
Chris is it common perhaps for early snow to dictate either a severe or mild winter???

By the way, I've been looking at the OS for the area and trying to match up the snow line with the contours. It looks more like 700 metres than 600 - the summit of Ben Reoch (661 metres) is on the left of the photo, just above the treetops, and is snow-free.

I'm heading into Glasgow shortly. I'll take the camera with me as there is a viewpoint on my route which might yield a nice picture. Assuming the weather stays clear, of course, at the moment the rain is so heavy I can't actually see Beinn Narnain any more |
