4870 1GB driver problem

Hi,

I've just installed a new HD 4870 1GB and installed part 1 of 2 drivers, when I try to install the second part I get this error message

"Setup was unable to find components that can be installed on your current hardware or software configuration. Please make sure you have the required hardware or software"

I'm running a fresh install of XP X64, however I have installed NET 2.0 and Direct X.

Anyone know of a fix?

Cheers

Do the drivers actually support XP 64?

I'd imagine so, I downloaded the XP X64 ones from the AMD site.

Re: 4870 1GB driver problem

I had the same problem with my 4870. I was told to install net 1.0 as well
worked for me.

Re: 4870 1GB driver problem

yeah, it's the avivo driver that's failing, no driver appears to be missing in display manager
