Probably the "mother of all broadband" tagline.

Don't forget that BT Broadband uses MaxDSL so the absolute maximum speed you can possibly get is around 7.5Mb.

That's a long contract. Imagine you did sign up, and the following month VM offered a better deal.

Did they mention that all of your surfing will be monitored, Categorized and then adverts sent to you. Welcome to phorm if you take there broadband.

Does anyone on this forum know the difference between BT (The phone company) and BT Broadband (The ISP). This looks like a phone deal, says nothing about broadband. It's a phone offer, so why do people go on about MaxDSL on BT Broadband and Phorm on BT Broadband.

You can't have BT BB without a BT phone I believe...and Phorm is an issue with BT BB at the moment.

But you can have a BT phone with ADSL from one of many other different broadband providers. It's an ad for BT phone and people start talking about the less positive aspects of BT Broadband. The letter doesn't even mention broadband. I'm aware that you must have a BT phone line for BT broadband, but as this is about the phone service, what makes people jump out and have a go about BT broadband. Are VM subscribers so anti-anything other than VM that the mere mention of a rival company's acronym results in a host of 'negative posts on a different product. Phone and broadband are not the same. I have a BT phone line, but I have Be broadband, it's not limited to under 8 meg and there is no phorm, so the OP could get that. He doesn't even have to touch BT Broadband.

Why would the BT letter make any reference to "big promises" from a cable company? As far as I'm aware VM haven't been running any campaigns related to their landline service.

To be fair (if I must) there is no guarantee there won't be Phorm on the VM network in the future.

Actually I was joking in my original post because of the other thread of BT bribing it's customers to use Phorm..

Now we are now really getting away from the original topic...which isn't Phorm but the offer from BT.

I suggest we return to it.

I think they are might be losing customers due to Phorm and plus other companies connection/installation fees are alot cheaper so BT need to be more competive with install fee
