Everyone knows that's the only thing people on Virgin download. Virgin is actually the largest society of linux guys I've ever seen.

LOL, yeah but did you notice how Virgin Media cant even be bothered to update and keep the current internal VM linux distro's servers up to date and mirrored there.

if they did we wouldnt need to go outside the internal cable network and suffer STM....

ohh wait, Virgin Media DO infact include these internal VM server Linux distro downloading in all your STM totals,

so you might as well go get em elsewere, were they are at least kept upto date and mirrored within minutes of release.

BTW i wasnt STMed last night but am today again, and also suffering the effects in not being able to even refresh these pages at times averaging 2 times a day and for hours, inside STB hours even when iv not downloaded anywere enough to officially trigger STM on 10Mbit,its been like that for around 2 weeks now, excluding last night in a baguley connected uBR... yet full and clear reasonable 700Kbyte+ slax/FreeNAS torrents at other times.

Would also be nice if they could mention STM when slating Sky's removal of their FUP for their premium speed service.

Re: Hmm, is VM's traffic management system offline?

I've downloaded over 2.4Gig since 10am this morning on Newsgroups and so far have not been traffic managed!

On the 10Mb service by the way.

Dudley. Daytime STM definitely was not in effect today on ubr03.dudl. I downloaded over 10Gig today. I did get hit after 4pm though. So the evening STM is still in place.

Is it just me or does browsing seem faster when STM'd?
