Re: Virgin 4Mb to upgrade to 10Mb February - Summer
just noticed New York ubr completed, rebooted modem now getting just under 7meg. Just wondering if my modem can handle 10meg?
It's a Motorola sb4200.The website says it is.

Re: Virgin 4Mb to upgrade to 10Mb February - Summer
There's been another update today (10th Sept), leaving only Haringey, Bradford & Sheffield and Swansea areas to be 'confirmed'.
The end of Summer is reckoned to be at the September equinox, and this year that falls on 22nd September at precisely 15:44. Did you hear that Virgin Media? You've got 1 week and 5 days to get Bradford (and the rest) upgraded!

Even BT are able to give RFS (estimated ready for service) dates for exchange upgrades, come on VM - when will the remaining areas be upgraded ??

It's true that they do, but they have the strange habit of being put back regularly.

Unfortunately, due to a rip in the space time continuum caused today when they switched on that Hadron Collider thingy, all TBC upgrades have been put back until Billie Piper rejoins Dr Who. Quite right too imho .
Sorry all.

Just re-boot the modem and hey presto all will be well. You may find that for a while the speed may drop off the max on occasions.
