some help please

i have a pace box in which my internet runs through and i want to connect a laptop which would be the best wireless router to do this with and is there any threads which have a step to step guide on how to do it

Ring up Customer Services after reading my post below asking for the upgrade and at the same time ask if they can supply you with Virgin Netgear Router as part of the upgrade, try and get it for free or they will try to charge you £40 but for that you get free support for 2 years.

You would be better calling up Customer Services and asking for an upgrade to a Stand Alone Cable Modem as with your present Pace box you can only receive 2Mb but with a SACM you can upgrade if you wanted to 20Mb, plus you would get a better connection.

The should be quite happy to upgrade you as the company would prefer all customers to swap to SACM.

Call Customer Care not Faults because they would have to transfer you as they cannot change your account.
