Sure. Near the Baguley Tesco Extra & if you know the area well, the roundabout at Brooklands Rd (Timperley).

Must say (and this really hurts) but... thank VM, I do rather like it

Ooo.. *hand up* I know _exactly_ where you mean! Taking that into account, I'd estimate (if they're working that way round and not being a-holes and going th'other way round) Stockport should be next... (taking the Sharston/Wythenshawe route)

This could, however, turn into Mornington Crescent...

Yes I know the area well. I'm over in Urmston so if they are working outwards from the server I may just get the upgrade this month. It will be interesting to see which of our areas gets done next.....

I saw that and it specificially mentioned:

Quote:
Bath, Chapelton, Hawkfield, Nailsea, Trowbridge, Cheltenham
This suggests that this does not include Bristol City itself, which I live in. Do you think that's the case or that the BS7 area will be included?

Re: Virgin 4Mb to upgrade to 10Mb February - Summer

Well i've finally given Virgin their notice. I was paying £25.00 per month for 4mb and phone line.

Just ordered new BT line, ow £124.99 but cost split over next six months.

Once line installed i will be ordering up to 16mb o2 broadband £10.00 per month existing O2 customer - UK Technical support via 0800 number. £10.50 to BT for online billing - line rental

You do know that if you've got a Virgin phone you can get free technical support via 151. Also, I hope that you get the full 16MB. Unfortunately in my area I can only get 2MB over ADSL, so I'm sticking with Virgin.

Re: Virgin 4Mb to upgrade to 10Mb February - Summer

OMG... I just realised.. one route will have to pass through Cheadle & Gatley....!!

Whereas the other route would be Timperley, Sharston and straight on to Stockport... bypassing the Cheadle area because of the airport

Using the standard rules of Morning Crescent, Cheadle can only be bypassed by staying on the M60 and flooring the accelerator...

I'm playing Northenden as my next gambit...

Re: Virgin 4Mb to upgrade to 10Mb February - Summer

So where does that leave Warrington?

I wonder what the chances are of being able to get money back from VM as some people have been paying £25.00 for 10Mb, and I am left paying £25.00 for 4Mb...

... versus it turning out that Doctor Who is not fiction but a documentary

Apart from the fact that it's a FREE upgrade which they are not obliged to provide you mean?

Pbryanw "free technical support" surely you mean "scripted, limited conversation"
