But that is a modem for dial up!
The 'Ethernet controller' is the socket used by Virgin Broadband
Also, right click on the yellow question mark network controller and uninstall it. Then refresh as earlier. It may not come back

I take it that nobody informed the OP about Everest, if he downloaded this and run it on the computer, it would not only display all hardware, but also provides links to download the drivers too!
