So next month (22nd July) we will find out which teams will be in Superleague next year. From what the RFL have said, they are adding another 2 teams to Superleague making it 14 teams in all. Who do you think will get a Superleague franchise though ?
The 19 clubs that submitted licence applications in are being assessed against the following four areas : -
· Stadium facilities.
· Finance and business performance
· Commercial and marketing
· Playing strength including junior production and development
The clubs which applied for engage Super League licences are as follows : -
Well, my guess is that another French team wont get in this time because Sky Sports don't have the TV rights to show games in France. I'm guessing all current Superleague teams will get a licence, so that only lets two other team in. These other two teams will be either Widnes, Salford or if they are lucky Celtic.

I think it will be Widnes and Salford. Interesting times for Super League

So you all voted for Labour and now you are shocked they resort to stabbing the pensioners and disabled in the back. Shame on you.
I think they would like to have Cetlic and Toulouse in it but i don't think they are up to scratch with the criteria that they assess the teams on. It will probably the 12 current super league teams and Salford and Widnes. Whether it will work or not is intresting, they've done the same thing with the Australian league and it's seems to have worked well, so i think it stands a good chance of doing so.
