Well I must admit that when I first heard about the London Eye plan for the millenium celebrations I was horrified and imagined it'd be a huge and very tacky flop. As it turns out at least 30m people clearly think otherwise so I'm happy to acknowledge what's been a huge success!

Things are even looking up for the Millenium Dome, now called the 02 Arena .....

I have to say that I'm not surprised, as it is pretty spectacular. We went on about 3Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â½ / 4 years ago, and I've recommended it to everyone since.

I have to say that we did it the right way - I went to the ticket office at about 4 o'clock, and booked tickets for 9:30 the following morning. When we turned up, we only had to share the gondola / pod / whatever they're called with two other people - I can't really imagine what it would be like with 16 in there...

It sure has been a spectacular showpiece for many a firework celebrations along the Thames River, it's sad to see BA are ending their sponsorship of the wheel, I'd like to see another British Company take over the sponsorship, it's also nice to see they are going to keep it running till 2025.
