problems

hi guys im new to the forum, just googled ntl problems and here i am..
anyways my problem is that since yesterday whenever two pcs are doing something on the internet (playing games/surfing/xbox live) at the same time then the internet totally freaks out. Basically if both of us are in a game we get 500pings and lag out or if one person is surfing and the other is in game we totally lag out. I was wondering if anyone can help because i know virgin wont help me as im using a router. I have also tried 2 different routers so thats not the problem.

Thanks in advance, Dan.

Re: problems

what IP Address's do they both have ?? just in case they have got the same IP addy using DHCP when the routers were swapped.

On the Pc's try a repair on the network card and see if it helps

Re: problems

Sounds like a standard situation nowadays danburb, it's the same for me.
It's only half decent when the kids have gone to bed, and I mean half decent.
I've just been on a server for the last hour and a half and it was poor, pings spiking to 500, and all the other bad stuff associated with poor game experience.
