Mine has always had those displays. I still have the ntl logo though, not VM.

Oops! It appears that according to http://homepage.ntlworld.com/robin.d...tml#ntlhmdiags the page display is modem dependant... and I've just been changed from an ntl:home 100 to a shiney new 256
