If i recall correctly, TraxData has made similar bigoted comments about black people in the past, and the response was much the same as here. So why have you made such an unfounded and rather irrelevant comparison?

If he doesn't like Jewish people then surely that should be upto him? I admit that he should've kept it to himself but still he is entitled to his own views.

Personally I don’t mind Jewish people but I don’t like the sector of the faith that live near me because on the whole they are very ignorant and hostile towards none Jewish people but I still give them the benefit of the doubt

Yes. He's allowed his opinion. However, if many people are likely to disagree with his opinion and he posts it on a public forum, then he should expect people asking questions.

(Unless of course, his opinion is based on his religion, as apparently, all bets are then off, and he should be respected for his opinion, and it must not be ridiculed. That's for another thread though.)

On-topic though: Why are we discussing an increase in the Jewish population from .0046% to .0047% of the British population. Is it a bad thing? Or a significant thing even?

Yes, he is.

But there is no absolute right to freedom of speech on the forum under CF's Terms of Use (nor in law either, but that's another thing). Certain things are prohibited from posting.

Saying something such as you hate Jews (or any other race or ethnic group) with a passion, & "wouldn't cry if they all got wiped out tomorrow" is one such thing. (& IMO is particularly offensive regarding the "all got wiped out" part, given history).

Having seen 5 young jewish boys on a train recently I would suggest that a percentage of the population increase has been achieved between family members. They were an advert for 'why not to' marry cousins? Awful.

Seems to me to be more about the traditional Jews increasing the Jewish population rather than anything else, IIRC that was a stated aim of the Traditional Jews anyway.

Seems like the Jews have always been society's whipping boys. I'm glad to see their population rising, although I didn't realise that the holocaust had made such a dent on their numbers (yes 6 million is a lot but in the grander scheme of things it's not what you'd call a massive figure).

Er, yes I would, but then, you and I do have differing views on genocide don't we?
When you consider that at the beginning of the 20th century there were only between 6-11million Jews in the world, murdering 6 million was about half of them.

The BBC article is just an interesting (to some people I would imagine) factoid.
