2nd gen Ipod shuffle issue

I'm having problems with my ipod shuffle. I haven't used it in a while and when I plugged it in to my computer the pc doesn't even know it's there, it doesn't even show up in Windows Explorer let alone Itunes (it did before).

The shuffle doesn't even charge when plugged in.

When I plug the shuffle in to my pc the ipod light flashes green for a mili-second then 3 orange flashes then nothing.

I've had a look on the Apple website and the instructions to reset it make no sense whatsoever - it just says to switch it off for 5 seconds then back on again.

I've tried uninstalling Itunes and that did nothing.

Re: 2nd gen Ipod shuffle issue

Is this any good?

Aside from that try a main charger if possible. My 1st Gen shuffle sometimes refused to charge from the computer but would work after a full charge on the mains.
