Sky Interactive Red Button for Footy Grrrrr
It's really annoying when Sky put footy on same channel but via Red button i.e. playoffs and Birmingham today. We pay for the Sky Sports service but clearly don't get all of it delivered.
Couldn't Virgin have a couple of channels dedicated to things like this to show you the interactive programs or is it a Sky won't give access to these things????
Sorry if there's other posts on this topic, couldn't see any
Cheers
Stan

Perhaps your better off writing to Setanta Sports which is part owned by Virgin Media and suggest such features. Furthermore, you pay Virgin Media less money for the Sky sports channels than you would on Sky. Check the price comparisons for further info. So you are gettin what you pay for.

I think you miss the point there my friend, i'm not too bothered about the actual gimmicky interactive bit. It's when they move an entire match to interactive we have no access & i believe it's something we are entitled to. What i am asking is cannot Virgin feed the interactive link down another channel for us? or is that something Sky would prevent?

VM do it with other channels so they can do it, but they sometimes limit it for example ITV1 on VM you only get ITV Interactive however on Sky you get ITV Interactive & Teletext on ITV1.

I just looked on Sky's site and it says they charge £17pm for their Sky sports package, which is a £1 cheaper than VM.

Re: Sky Interactive Red Button for Footy Grrrrr
Depends how you look at it.
Sky charge £45 per month for all 6 mixes and Sports and Movies. You add in the cost of a BT line and it comes to £55.50 (this is when you are on BT e-bill, it would be £56.75 if you were not)
Virgin is £55.50 when on e-bill for TV XL, phoneline and Sports and Movies (or £56.50 if not). This is with the 1st June price rise
Yes Virgin are 50p more expensive if you were on Sky Line rental @ £10 per month, but if you wanted Setanta, Virgin is still cheaper by £9.99/£9.49
If you are looking at just Sports it would be Sky and BT @ £48.50 (Sky line rental would make is £48) and Virgin @ £48.50. This still doesn't take account on the extra £9.99/£9.49 you need to pay for Setanta
