This will be a sign from the heavens and surely means that the end is near!

Could be - Are NASA going to announce that a meteor is going to hit Earth @ 2pm EDT on May 14?

I ask this, as they are going to do it via a media teleconference. so they could announce it to us, from the safety of their spaceships that are out of harms way!

Re: NASA To Announce Massive Discovery

Can't be dark matter as that's just an excuse for bad maths.

"Hey look, I've made an equation that works out the weight of the universe"

"Hang on, according to this there's about three quarters of the weight we can't explain"

"erm yeah, that's....dark matter.."

"dark matter? I've not seen that"

"No...you..erm..can't...but it's very heavy"

"Ah, ok then"

It could be extra-terrestrial intelligence, as there has to be some intelligence somewhere as we all know theres sod-all left on this planet.

New equipment has made it possible to see dark matter..at least somehwat.

But that cant be the big announcement as that was made over a week ago (the dark matter stories)....wouldnt make sense for NASA to leak the story like that just to announce it a week later?

They could of course just want to create a massive fuss about it, as it didn't really hit the news hard, did it?

Yea, the sad thing is hardly anyone in the public cares about this sort of stuff anymore, nor about the significance of finding such things like this.

It's like String theory (ok, i know the name has changed, but my point still stands)

Amount of impact that is having on the science community and pretty much proving everything we know is completley wrong.

Public walk around oblivious to it, they dont complain when it creates nice new technology for them though lol.

I think they've found a planet just like our own. The only thing is, that planet is 10 years ahead of this one. What would you espect to see?
