sli ram
ok guys i have recently bought a new mobo asus formula striker 2 and when, i changed to quad core i also got some new ram. the ram is 4gb ocz reaper 800mhz, http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...odid=MY-096-OC when i first turn the pc on and you get the post screen it says sli ram detected, so i go in to the bios and it gives a couple of options for it:
cpuoc 0% up to 20% i think
cpuoc max
expert mode
now i have tried the ram on all settings and it just crashes my pc as soon as i get in to windows.
my timings are 4-4-4-15-2t at 2.2v which is what ocz says it runs at, question is has anyone got any ideas why my pc crashes when using these options. i have my cpu (q6600) oc'd to 3.0ghz and that is now stable after allot of voltage changes and also does sli ram make any difference for games.
all help greatly appreciated

Re: sli ram
32 or 64 bit OS? 4gb ram won't be recognised on a 32 bit OS! First thing is to reset CMOS and load defaults and don't overclock anything then try the RAM at stock settings and see if it's stable.
I have an ASUS Crosshair with 2gb (2 x 1gb), SLI Ram is enabled, CPUOC is 0% and SLI Profile is set as 'High Performance' for my Crucial Ballistix 800Mhz DDR2 with timings 4-4-4-12-2T.
I have also had problems with the machine not posting and have had to swap the RAM to the other 2 slots to get it booting, and the other day I had to swap the RAM back to the original 2 slots as it woudn't boot again? I've also had a stick go down and had to RMA it so maybe these ASUS boards aren't actually setting the correct voltages? Tried a BIOS update or manually setting the voltages/timings yourself?

Re: sli ram
i have vista 32bit and it will recognizes 3gb only but not to, bothered about that it doesn't give a option for sli profile in my bios it only gives the options as stated in previous post. i have manually set the timings and voltages to what they should be as the board didn't do this itself. i have also flashed to the latest version of the bios and am now wondering if it would be worth messing around to get it to work

Re: sli ram
Looking at the QVL (Qualified Vendors List) for your board OCZ isn't mentioned in the list, just an observation mind!
Have you tried undervolting the RAM? Without SLI my RAM runs at 1.8v and 2.2v with SLI, so try a lower voltage. I know it says 2.1v and 2.2v with SLI but maybe 2.0v,1.9v or 1.8v may run stable?
