I don't think it was over priced and I shelled out the £269 to get it. Perhaps you should try one before you give out your opinion.
I don't need to try one to have an opinion on it. My opinion is that they're over priced for just a phone that isn't even 3G. And it doesn't doesn't do much more than what my current £60 phone does. Okay, it may have a pretty interface, but that's not, in my opinion, worth all the extra cost.

Re: 3

I've got this phone.

http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/prod...0i?cc=gb&lc=en

I love the flick wrist to change MP3 track.

The motion sensors in the phone that change the screen from portait to landscape.

and it's 3G.

True but it was not at first. Many phones are exclusivly launched on single networks.

The iphone probably will be out on other networks in time , I can see very good reasons for having a nice staggarded launch considering it is their first phone out on the market.

Perhaps I'm turning into a fanboy here but I've used lots of mobile phones and none are as good as this.

The 'pretty interface' is not just a pretty face. It's built on a solid robust operating system that has many advanced features built in but maintains reliability and speed all the time. I've rebooted mine once since Nov 9th and that was because I randomly dialled somethings like **##21##d and it was trying to transmit it.

It is a premium product with a large bright crisp glass fronted screen, an aluminium back and a metal rim. Not plastic sprayed silver like other phones.
It's benn in my pocket with keys and loose change, knocked off my bedside table on to my wood floor boards and dropped from waist height onto the road and it's still in first class condition.

I can't think of a phone that has a better screen that this one. This is the nicest phone to use on the market and future iphpnes with 3/4g are going to be the phones to have.

Have you seen the demos of the games that will be out in the summer on it?

Re: 3

The Nokia N95 8GB is a good option IMO. I personally dont like 3 as around here the signal is not great.

Re: 3

The more mobiles can do the more masts are needed & if they are not enough where you live/use your mobile your signal will suffer.

We have problems getting a basic phone signal downstairs for texts or calls let alone anything else.

BTW Sony Ericsson are making good phones at the moment, Nokia rested on their laurels for a while and you got crap batteries & suchlike. Hopefully with the iPhone competition it will buck their ideas up.

Re: 3

N95 is a greta model of mobile handset. I would look at this or any Sony Ericsson handset. The W910i is another decent handset too.
