Washing machine inlet hose

Evening

Anybody here know if you can buy another longer that a 2.5m water inlet hose for a washing machine?

2.5m is about the longest I've seen...

Cheers

Lee

Re: Washing machine inlet hose

If you cant get one longer, can't you get a gasket to join 2 together?

Each end has a screw connection - I've not seen anything that would connect them together.

Re: Washing machine inlet hose

You can get extension couplings to join them mate. It's not recommended but I had to do it for the dishwasher. B&Q will have them if they don't have longer pipes.

:edit: there's also a type of coupling that's tapered both ends. You'd cut the threaded coupling off each end and then fasten with a couple of jubilee clips. Sounds a bit Bodgitt & Scarper, but it'll be fine. They fit in tight as hell, the jubilee clip is almost a failsafe.

Not sure but I think you can get longer hoses, as said though, a connector might do. Handyman's the one you want for this, he's into all that sort of thing.

Re: Washing machine inlet hose

I hope he doesn't shout at me for suggesting this then!

I could be thinking of dishwasher, but I remember being told it's not recommended for certain reasons.
Mine's been fine for a couple of years now though.

Re: Washing machine inlet hose

Thanks for all the responses so far...

Was thinking about it last night and decided to actually measure it....

I think the one supplied is 1m - so a 2.5m would be perfect.
