Whistle-blower site taken offline
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7250916.stm
Quote:
A controversial website that allows whistle-blowers to anonymously post government and corporate documents has been taken offline in the US.
Wikileaks.org, as it is known, was cut off from the internet following a California court ruling, the site says.
The case was brought by a Swiss bank after "several hundred" documents were posted about its offshore activities.
Other versions of the pages, hosted in countries such as Belgium and India, can still be accessed.

A couple of mirrors still are active:
http://www.wikileaks.be
http://cryptome.org/
I downloaded the Gitmo Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) manual when it was leaked there. Got too bored to get to anything too juicy though.

I'd perused a couple of things on there related to Northern Wreck a few weeks back. Nice publicity for them, though.

Re: Whistle-blower site taken offline
Also shows the futility of trying high-profile censorship in the internet age. It didn't even work in the 80s - even our local clergyman had a copy of Spycatcher.
