Do you have anything on the TV screen? Also, what does it say on the front panel display, and which other lights are on?

Yep I can watch terrestrial tv from tv and via av channel, I'm video taping some programmes at the moment.

All I have on the V+ display is a light behind the word 'online', in the middle it says 'live tv' and then the channel number (which I can't change).

Lol! I am ristening - I've tried swapping them about but still no joy. The V Box scart is direct to the TV (It's thicker that all other scarts) and it's definitely coming from the TOP of the box

Sorry!

Re: V Box fitted Saturday - still not working

It's working!!!

Spiderplant suggested I unplug the VCR completely and I can access the guide!

Was the VCR the problem all along then?

Phew - what a relief!

Re: V Box fitted Saturday - still not working

Sounds like your vcr is over riding the stb plug it back in, on the vcr remote there should be a button marked vcr/tv pressing this should toggle between watching stb and vcr.

hope this helps.

Thanks multiskilled,

But it's sorted now!

Spiderplant worked his magic

Together with good advice from 'on in an hour'.

I am eternally grateful !

---------- Post added at 20:07 ---------- Previous post was at 19:42 ----------

Oh yeh - and soon as it was sorted last night, I dutifully made a call to 150 to cancel the engineer they had arranged for this morning.....they assured me the visit was cancelled......

....engineer arrived this morning!

What dya do!
