HD Channels

hi im thinking of getting the hd box becouse i have a hd tv but when i looked to what hd channels there are there only bbc hd
will there ben any more coming soon like sky sports

There are reports of a few more hd channels coming to VM this year. Whether this occurs we can only wait and see. Sky sports, I would think unlikely in the near future unless regulators force Sky to give VM it at a reasonable price. In fairness to sky I'm not sure VMs network is ready for it yet anyway, although it might be soon. I have to say though that the sd picture over hdmi is excellent and it's worth getting the V+ for that IMO.

got to say that the standard def channels seem better quality when i switched mine to hd

I agree with you on this. The quality of Channel 5 for example, is approaching HD, and this is all thanks to the boxes ability to step up the pitcure

It's great to know that the V+'s upscaled SD picture is every bit as good as any HD picture quality anywhere

I don't think it's as good, more like close to, especially on a 32in screen. On the larger screens though, I think the difference is more noticable.
