Teacher suspended over raunchy ad...

A teacher at a private school has been suspended because whilst working as an actress/model she once appeared in a risque advert.

The ad is rather suggestive so I won't link to it but it's easily found via Google.

So should she have been suspended? Would having appeared in the ad undermine her authority or could she have used it to her advantage to build a rapport with her pupils?

My French teacher was called Miss Shirtliff...

She had a bit of a reputation....

Same here.. However, I went to an all boys school, so that might explain it. According to my old English teacher (who was an attractive 30 year old woman), any woman her age teaching teenage boys either becomes quite "hard" on the students, or tends to leave her job.

Funnily enough, I always thought she was nice looking, but didn't really fancy her until I saw her get into her car one day after I had left school (permanently, not just for the day). She was wearing a very tight leather catsuit, and she did have a rather good body.

Regarding this teacher: I can see the school's point. That video would have come out at some point. The school had two choices. Either let her ride it out, with disruption to her classes, until the students get bored, or get rid of her. Not sure which I would have chosen.

I used to go to Christopher Wren School in Shepherds Bush, London, and we used to have a lovelly female teacher, who everyone wanted to get in the front of the class, if this problem with the teacher, happened BEFORE she became a teacher, then it should not intefere, with her teaching, however, with the kids in senior school, the ad, could be used to blackmail the teacher etc, that is proabely the reason why, she was suspended, pity mind you.

I cannot see why she was suspended, this has nothing to do with how she performed her job and she should sue them.

There were rumours that our art teacher posed nude once, and she wasn't hard on the eyes, so they were usually believed. Probably teenage boy wish-fulfillment though. I'd have believed it of the History department, though.
