4 meg - how much????

so i was looking in the metro newspaper today and apparently, according to the advert, the standard price of 4M is £16 (2M is £9 and 20M is 328). i'm paying £25 - is this a new turn of events?

Re: 4 meg - how much????

I would guess that you only qualify for that price if you take Virgin Phone aswell.

Re: 4 meg - how much????

4MB is only £11.50 for the first year if you also take out virgin phone (M), which means a total price of £22.50 (2mb is £4.50 (total £15.50) and 20mb is £23.50 (total £34.50) Obviously these deals are for nw customers only.

Re: 4 meg - how much????

I have 4Mb BB only for £16/mth for 12mths.

I was on 2Mb but I rang CS to complain about the poor value following introduction of STM. They offered me the 4Mb deal which I took!!!

Re: 4 meg - how much????

There's something going on with the prices - but it looks confusing...

http://allyours.virginmedia.com/html...al_size_l.html

"Broadband prices are for 12 months when you take Virgin Phone. Broadband Size: M (up to 2Mb) is £4.50 a month, Broadband Size L: (up to 4Mb) is £11.50 a month, Broadband Size: XL (up to 20Mb) is £23.50 a month. Standard monthly prices (currently up to 2Mb is £9, up to 4 Mb is £16, up to 20Mb is £28) apply thereafter."

I've just cancelled so I'd be a new customer .. Hmmm, I may be around for a while more

---------- Post added at 19:56 ---------- Previous post was at 19:54 ----------

but I think the £2 phone deal has gone away,

Lol, there's no pleasing you guys is there? You moan about speeds here and then snap VM's hands off when they offer you a nice deal. Gawd, if they threw in Danii Minogue as part of the deal, you'd want VM to pay for her shower and underwear

Re: 4 meg - how much????

The deal isn't only for new customers, it's also for existing broadband customers who don't yet subscribe to the phone service.

http://allyours.virginmedia.com/html...ers/index.html

"This offer is available to new and existing Virgin Media broadband customers taking Broadband and Phone for the first time."

Re: 4 meg - how much????

I was offered a "in house deal" which is not advertised at all when my £10 6 month 2 mg deal ran out.

£ 42 for XL package,4 mg and all the rest.
I scorned it cos of all the +1,kiddie channels, radio stations etc involved.
Prices,if you read between the lines, are zooming.

You're originally paying for that "free" install you had mate, and deals run out after a year... Have to renew them, or take a new one. As for brand loyalty, it means nothing these days.
