What I mean is that regardsless of the type of "memory" in the TomTom - HDD or solild state RAM, it'll still show up on the PC as a "drive" - and yes if he can get to it, it may be fixable. Pray you have the maps intact, otherwise you'll be buying new maps!

Just a heads up, Tesco are doing Sat Nav for £85 with maps for western eutope and uk. Sounds good to me There are a few cons to the pro of the price, but as I said, seems good to me.

Link The price says £90 but I've just been in store and seen it at £85.

I had the same problem with mine after update.Cured it by using reset button, you need a small pin to do this. hope this helps.
