V+ - Recording two programmes and pausing another?

Another question about my new V+ (one of many expect)

I realise that you can record two programmes and watch another. So... if you are already recording two programmes and watching another, does that mean that you cannot, then pause the one you are watching, because pausing involves recording and you are already using your two recording options?

Thanks

You can also record 2 programmes and watch a third that you have recorded earlier; brilliant! bit of kit

The third program can be paused, i.e. timeslipped, but not premantly recorded.
