SYMPTOMS
You cannot see or play previously downloaded premium content, such as Xbox Live Arcade games, content from Video Marketplace, game maps, game levels, or game objects, when you are not signed in to Xbox Live.
CAUSE
Typically, this behavior occurs if you try to use premium content that is stored on a storage device, such as an Xbox 360 Hard Drive or an Xbox 360 Memory Unit, and you use that storage device on a different console than the console that you used when you downloaded the content. This behavior also affects premium content that was transferred from an Xbox 360 Core console or from an Xbox 360 Pro console to an Xbox 360 Elite console by using the Xbox 360 Elite Data Migration Kit. This behavior is by design.
Additionally, this behavior will occur if a console has been repaired or exchanged and the console ID has changed.
Here I go again!! After three phone calls to xbox support I've managed to get them to upgraded my problem so a 'Supervisor' will phone me. This will mean (judging by previous times this has happend) me having to take a digital photo of my receipt for the new xbox360 and sending it to them as proof and then the tedious inputting of microsoft points codes for the 34 Aracde games I have (yes you're right, is there 34 arcade games worth having!!!?!) and redownloading the full games again to a specialy created silver account on my console. 'Digital Rights' are a pain in the neck on Xbox.
Re: cannot see or play previously downloaded premium content
It's crap like that which stops me from buying music/films/games online, I also steer clear of episodic content and the crap extras available for Motorstorm on PSN. They want your money but not just once, so now I get 99% of my entertainment from usenet. Who's laughing now?
