Well, woke up to a white covering everywhere, yep, it's here, and the forecast for this area is 1 to 2 feet of snow getting heavier by afternoon

No snow here on the South Coast, but it's about 3 or 4 degrees above freezing so I guess it depends if we get any precipitation this way

Mydad had to take me to school in a tractor to get me there. Only normally to find it was closed. (Phone lines were usually down at this point so we couldn't phone in).....

Yup - I used to be country bumpkin too

And it's started again, really hope that the weather men got it wrong, 1 - 2 feet of snow, that will cripple this area

3 inches of snow could cripple any part of the UK, we just aren't prepared for it.

Well, in the last 10 minutes it's gotten heavier, it's laid on the wet flags, about 1/2 inch has settled in the last 10 mins, 2 feet here we come

And I 'have' to go out in the car just now.

heavy clouds here in Cambs but no snow. I expect that we might just about manage 5 flakes before it goes to sleet.

Shame really because my cat goes mad (in a good way) in the snow, she seems to want to try and catch every single flake as it comes down. Last time we had a few flakes, she was bouncing and sliding around the garden for a good 10 minutes.
