philips prestigo remote on v+ box

i like the look of the new philips prestigo remote but not sure if it will work all the functions on my v+ box and it costs £100 so if anyone has 1 let me know.normally with these universal remotes there is always something it dosent do so you end up using your original remote anyway.

Re: philips prestigo remote on v+ box

I've had a Philips Prestigo SRU 9600 for some months and have been able to dispense with all my other remotes - TV, DVD-R, AV receiver & cable box. I've had the V+ box for about two weeks and am now back to two remotes. You can quite easily get the Prestigo to switch on the V+ and change channels but the rest of the functions will be more of a challenge. The Prestigo can learn individual functions and is almost infinitely programmable so over time I'll cutomise it.

It will require some work but it's the best of the universal remotes that I've tried (and I've tried many!)

It should be fine. Make sure you get the model with the buttons for FF/play/REW etc... such as the http://www.consumer.philips.com/cons...rol+SRU8015-10
