How to get Access query into Excel template??
Hey Guys and Gals
I need your helps!
Basically I have a preformated excel spreadsheet template which I have to populate with information generated from an access query. Currently it is a case of printing of the query in the form of a report and populating the excel template manually, although I have been told there is a way you can get access to automatically populate the excel spreadsheet......but how????
Can anyone help please??
Thanks!

Re: How to get Access query into Excel template??
Here is one solution:
- In the Database window in Microsoft Access, click the table, query, form, or report you want to use in Excel.
- On the Tools menu, point to Office Links, and then click Analyze It With MS Excel. Access saves the contents of the table, query, form, or report as a Excel workbook (.xls) file and opens the file in Excel.
- Create links to this Excel file.
Or....

You can link data from one workbook into another. Just open both, click on the cell where you want the data to appear, type "=", then click in the cell where you want data from, then press the enter key.
