Re: Buying a new laptop

Can't beleive I'm gonna say this, but some of the Gateway Laptops that Tesco sell are absolutely fantastic, a basicish laptop with a reasonable C2D CPU, 1GB RAM, Wireless, Intel GMA950 Graphics can be had for about £350, really good quality piece of kit too! - Comes with Vista (and seems to run it rather well)

HP 530 Laptop (Core Duo, 1Gb, Vista Basic)? £360 from Dabs. Probably will get one as present for my son.

I looked at that one but thought an extra £40 for a spare battery, 40gb extra hard drive and Vista Premium was a good choice over it.
