Bootmgr Message Xp/vista Problem

i hope someone can maybe help me as i am trying to install windowsxp pro on my hard drive which i have just deleted/formated vista from with the intention of installing windows xp pro instead.

there is a message saying BOOTMGR whne i try to load and boot from my cd drive.

i have an acer t660

does any one have any idea why this appearing and can somone maybe tell how to get rid of this?

thanks in advance for any help and advice anyone can give me!

so it does not load from the cd at all? sounds like you left the partition intact and its still looking for vista. Try either setting cd as first boot device or use boot menu (should see the option at post prob F12 or F8)
