Setting a password on dynamic

How do I do this, only just set up my Belkin to go wirelless? Was not sure which seting to choose at firdt tried pppo, discovered as it's Virgin Media I needed to select Dynamic. But i don't know how to password protect it. Thanks in advance.

you need to go into the wireless settings and set the security to wpa or wpa, if you dfo not have that then you will need to use a wep key

griffswan, if you go to the router page on http://192.168.2.1 there you have the option WIRELESS and beneath that you got SECURITY.

otherwise go to http://www.belkin.com/uk/support/ type in the model of the router and it'll show you there how to secure it.

192.168.2.1 does not work for me, tried resetting the router also. nada.
I'm very new to all this, but trying my best. Any ideas anyone?

griff, which belkin product have you got mate? perhaps I know of some tricks that you can do.

the product number is on the bottom of the unit showing as F5D****

How do i find my DNS address?
