yes i am gamer the price i have to spend on a card is £120 was going for ATI but thought not.
TBH I do not really recommend any of the midrange DX10 cards or any of the midrange cards for a gamer. This being the case id put forward the x1950pro with maybe 512 meg of ram onboard like this one http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...=56&subcat=404
looks good the system, but as all have said the g-card isnt great.
get a 1950pro got that in my system and runs anything I throw at it at max...or wait with the g-card and get 1 of the new lot of cards coming out in November (but I dont think you want to wait that long)
Thanks for all the replys i am going to change the card and buy the 512MB Sapphire X1950PRO Thanks for the help.As for power supply i'll keep that the same as i have.
just one thing should i go for the 512MB Sapphire X1950PRO or the HIS Radeon X1950 Pro 512MB IceQ3 Turbo
Xan, I got the Sapphire in my rig and its a nice card. they are both the same chip but afaik the HIS has a better cooler on it but not 100% sure on that.
Once again Thanks the Sapphire is on its way about £20 cheaper than the GeForce 8600GTS and that will pay for the Zalman VF900-CU Quiet Copper VGA Cooler :-)
