Oh perfect day, Lewis Hamilton on pole, England crush the Wallabies and United thrash Wigan, still only playing at around 75% , I thought Pique, Anderson & Simpson all played well though.
Jim.

I was really impressed with Pique and Simpson. Anderson is improving...a few more games and who knows...

Considering United were in 15th position back in September, I wouldn't say that it was bad going, but I suppose you will have your little dig while you have the chance at least

It'll be more than the normal Hole fan does...keeping up appearances long after their team has slumped...

Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
Isn't it about time, Celtic and Rangers joined the English Premier league, nothing aganist both clubs, but it seems that Scottish football is ' run' by the big two, after the Gretna result today, which l honestly thought the Celtic would have hammered Gretna, but it turned out to be 2-1 to Celtic, there was talk several seasons ago, that this would have been on the cards, Scottish Football could run successfully without Celtic and Rangers, as you have Aberdeen, Motherwell, and Hearts, l don't know what other members think.

it's a nice idea but i think it would also cause a great big headache for UEFA too. What about some of the other areas of Europe where seems like Skonto Riga have won the title 12 times running. Should they be allowed to play in different leagues too ?
I think the only thing we could do is bring back a British Championship for clubs in the summer

Maybe you should wait until you have actually played a decent team i.e United, Liverpool, Chelsea before you start gloating about being top of the league

Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
Everton's group (A) would be easier. Still it doesn't matter when you go through to the knockout stages.

Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
For the real diehard Man U fans, if you have access, Man U reserves are playing Liverpool reserves on Channel 544, losing 0-1 ATM
Well its got to be better that Oxford v Torquay.

Hardly Jim.........
Oxford 3 Torquay 3 , three goals in each half from each side.
Jim Smith must be close to getting told to pack his bags methinks.
