It`s the kinda "joke" that reminds me a bit of the child abuse cases up on the Orkneys back in the early 90`s.

As soon the allegations were flung out of court a cartoon appeared somewhere of a load of sheep looking out from the Orkney cliffs towards the returning boat full of children with one saying..."thank god the kids are back"

Not the most tasteful of jokes for sure but .......

Of course jokes about the death or murder of a child is funny. Just as a joke about the death of millions of Jews is funny. As would a joke about a homosexual getting a kicking is funny.

But this Madeline stuff is too personal, too real, too sad. Did she suffer? Did she cry? Is she still alive and missing her mum and dad and siblings? Ah sure it doesnt matter, cause we're aving fun at her expense.
