The only asrock 'dual sata 2' mobo i can find is this one http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.as...eDual-SATA2&s=

this is what the op called the board, It's not the intel / amd hybrid monster board.

yes people do still buy asrock boards, inparticular those who wish to upgrade to C2D and have already forked out good money for a competent AGP graphics card. In this case the DUAL boards are a viable compromise.
