Sorry matey, only just seen this 'cos I'm watching the football at the same time 
I have Adobe photoshop and reader but, as far as I know, they're not actually running until I open them (or until I put the memory card from my phone in)...

What antivirus do you use, ive heard that Norton can slow a PC down to rediculous levels.

Yup, it's Norton, 'cos it comes as standard with BT

I cannot comment with any cred, here, because I don't have adsl or norton - all I can say is that using a free service like AVG anti virus, backed up with comodo firewall has worked for me, presumably that would be platform independent?
