If you don't then I will - it's getting to be quite entertaining watching the demise of Arsenal

Re: Close Season Gossip & Rumour Thread
on on earth do FIFA do. Everytime something gets passed to them they pass the buck and just don't do anything.
Hope the CAS can sort this out pretty quick.

Re: Close Season Gossip & Rumour Thread
well if its proven that Tevez is still owned by that media company then West Ham is in trouble as they would've lied against the FA and hten they could get relegated.
tricky situation there....dont know how this is going to get resolved.

CAS isn't sorting it out, the high court is, might not be settled for quite a while

I doubt they'd get relegated as a punishment, it would be too complicated (unless it can be sorted before the start of next season). However a 10 or 12 point deduction for the 07/08 season could almost guarantee it for next season.

Don't bet on it, despite what the Daily Mail would have us believe, third party ownership isn't illegal, third party influence is, that is the clause that was removed last season and in going to court we are doing what the Premier League requested, it's not our fault if a higher court rules against us and this case could end up being as big as the Bosman one

I know FIFA said they couldn't deal with it and pass it to CAS but from what youare saying it seems they aren't going down that route.
i think part of the problem is that West Ham ripped up one contract and just create a new one and now MSI say the orig contract is still valid. I think might have got that wrong

You have it right but if it's an issue why didn't Kia Joorbawhatever say anything in April? Also if a clause in a contract is illegal does that make the whole contract illegal? If so and we lose this case, Sheff Utd cannot fail to win an action against the Premier League for allowing us to play him. Or if it's only the clause in the contract was illegal and once removed, the contract became valid as has been muted, Kia is screwed and we get the cash, don't we?
Pure speculation really, I am no lawyer and don't have much of a clue regarding this issue but seeing as that doesn't stop Dave Whelan or the Daily Mail, who cares
Here is a link about CAS and the court case

Giuseppe Rossi sold.......
Quote:
Manchester United have sold Giuseppe Rossi to Villarreal with the move subject to a medical.
The Spanish side have beaten a host of Italian clubs to the highly-rated striker's signature.
Rossi spent the second half of last season on loan at Parma and he impressed at the Ennio Tardini. United have decided to let Rossi leave Old Trafford as he is well down the pecking order in Sir Alex Ferguson's plans.

Watch out Diego.
Are United becoming Villareal's feeder club?

I'm a bit disappointed by that. He looked like a prospect, given another chance. I was hoping that the loan spell in Italy would have given him some confidence...

Re: Close Season Gossip & Rumour Thread
Good Grief....It's the Community Shield on Sunday, and I haven't finished my Wimbledon strawberries yet, the close season seems to get shorter and shorter each year, or is time passing quicker
