Re: Battlestar Galactica
I think it is an excellent programme. The mini series last year was very good and this continuing in the same vein.
I like the use of cannons and rockets instead of lasers, the special effects are very much "space above and beyond" if you remember that series.
The original was very good at the time, and is still watchable now, but it was made in the 70's, and is very pantomimey. a la Buck Rogers etc of that era.
The use of "human" cylons - well that was predictable, no doubt a budget constraint. However, there were human cylons in the Original series too, right at the end.
It's moving at a slow pace but i'm interested to see how the story arc develops.

If it doesn't get started soon it'll be over before it gets the chance - it is only 13 parts after all.
And I think having richard hatch in it was the WORST thing (And the worst episode so far) they could have done.
Having said that - last weeks wasn't so bad, but I'm just bored with it overall so far.

I'd be happier if I saw more cylons (not the human type ones)...

Re: Battlestar Galactica
I'm watching it though it seems to be extremely hard going at times.
Could someone please explain to me the point of that bloody irritating woman keep popping in and molesting the professor geezer all the time.
Surely the aim of the cylons is to destroy all of mankind, but if she's in his mind the way she appears to be then she must know where they are so why doesn't she send the cylon fleet to wipe them out? They seemed keen enough to do it at the begining of the series.
Has to be said though that this weeks was alot better, despite there only being a couple of the "real" cylons in it

Actually no - as it's the first time it's been on anywhere so it's not available in the normal places I'd get programs from
Just for once we're getting it in advance of the americans who aren't seeing it 'till next year!!! (On tv I mean)
