ntl webspace scripts?

Hi All

I currently want to have some scipts on my ntl webspace. Ntl advise that they do not support server side scripting. Is there any way i could for example setup an ip logger on the webspace? Any ideas would be appreciated, even if it means putting it on some other webspace that is free, and has no banner ads.

Hope someone can help.

cheers

Re: ntl webspace scripts?

To be honest you are probably better spending £10 and buying some space from CF's supporting service provider i-websolutions.

Re: ntl webspace scripts?

Hi all

thanks for your replies. apologies for being so tight fisted lol. The extreme tracker looks great. only bad thing is that it is publically available, the site is basically relating to network security etc, so i am a bit dubious about the piblic being able to see the stats as it's supplying ip's and browser types os etc could be used by a malious visitor. i might pay to have it made private. thanks to all once again. any others that are private viewing only would be good.

have fun

hi - just to point out that to complement the suggestion by SMHarman, to get hosting with I-Web (which I 100% agree with), one of our members Mr_love_monkey offers a pretty good price for domain name registration. All up you could have a .co.uk for less than £15 a year - and be able to .htaccess your folders

Is that £15 or £1.50 cos £15 is expensive! (Sorry!)
I pay sub £9 for a .COM and £2.59 for a .CO.UK (Ex.VAT)

I assume Gaz included the £10 I-Web hosting cost in his £15 estimate

Re: ntl webspace scripts?

yes, thanks Matt D, that's what I meant by 'all up', I didn't make it very clear, though, sorry

I wish I had seem M_l_m's offer before I purchased an info domain, though, never mind, at these kind of prices a years domain registration & hosting is less than a round in the boozer

Re: ntl webspace scripts?

And you could also make use of your NTL webspace to host any files that you don't/can't put on the I-web site & link to them.
