Re: Gordon Browns initial cabinet?
Maybe not, Brown might be able to give Labour a boost. Blair gone will also help. Next election will be close but I think Labour might get the most streets , maybe not a majority however.

Bliar gone won't make a difference. It's still old Labour 'riff raff', running the show.

Blair has been the symbol for most of the negitive press and feeling towards Labour. A new PM that is not tainted by Iraq and Spin. Brown has always appeared detacted from New Labour, it will be harder for the press to attack brown and it will give Labour a new face and image.
The election will be close

Rubbish - Bliar out won't make a difference to Labour's permanently tarnished image.

Such polls generally proof to be very accurate and reflective of the population as a whole.

Re: Gordon Browns initial cabinet?
Good question -who's Brown going to have in his cabinet?
I mean he's inherited (perhaps he should be taxed on that ) an embarrassment of riches when it comes to trustworthy, loyal, high calibre men and women to fill the available posts hasn't he!
Just look at the candidates for Deputy PM - a veritable who's who of serious ministerial talent if ever there was one and following on from John Prescott as they do, a clear indicator of the significance of this demanding post to New Labour.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main...24/npols24.xml
Anyway, back to the Cabinet, perhaps someone who knows more about these things than I do will pop along here shortly and come up with a list of all the glowing successes the prospective ministerial candidates can lay claim to. I'm sure we'll all be very interested to see their achievements.
...........now where's Damien when you need him? ............

Re: Gordon Browns initial cabinet?
Who knows? They shuffle around the roles a lot and any credit for success is claimed by a whole load of people.
24 hour drinking is just one of the successes.

Re: Gordon Browns initial cabinet?
I can't get the scenes during the 'cabinet meeting' in Dr Who, yesterday, out of my mind - even more worrying is how much of a good idea it seems to be

ROFL.
So, who'd be the better PM? The Master, or Gordon Brown?
