I am a bit unsure about this. I didn't see any of Pique's games in Spain, but when he played for Utd, I thought that he showed promise for the future. I wouldn't mind Gudjohnsen being at Utd, but I'm not sure about losing Pique...

Re: Close Season Gossip & Rumour Thread
Why is it that Chelsea are so bothered about what Man Utd are doing?
Quote:
The Dutchman, a personal adviser to Blues owner Roman Abramovich and one of their main scouts, is known as one of the best judges of talent in Europe.
Talking to Dutch television, de Visser revealed that he and Chelsea were well aware of Nani - but he was not worth the money that United paid.
"Of course we knew about Nani for a long time," he told Tien TV.

Who needs Darren Bent?
Striker Carlos Tevez, who has been linked with a move to Inter Milan, is on the verge of agreeing a deal to stay at West Ham, which would cost the London club £9m for the next season. (News of the World)

Alls well that ends well. Madrid win 3-1. England U21's win 2-0 and Lewis wins again, good weekend allround.

This is a surprise if the claim is to be believed....
Quote:
Manchester United remain tight-lipped over claims by Sampdoria striker Fabio Quagliarella that he is being targeted by the Premier League champions. Quagliarella, 23, says United have increased a reported £10m bid to beat off opposition from top Serie A clubs

Forest consider City Ground exit

It has been reported that the club will leave its City Ground home in the centre of Nottingham for a site to the south in Clifton

I'm glad that's not the Clifton I know, there's enough rabble up there as it is.

I could be though, and am having a dig at my own area.
Back on topic: It seems shearer wouldn't like to see Craig Bellamy back at Newcastle.

Actually, it may be worse:

I am sure the club will live on in another guise but it's a shame never the less, 128 years of history, gone

Re: Close Season Gossip & Rumour Thread
How unlucky were the Under 21's tonight, losing 13-12 on penalties after being 1-0 with only one minute left in the match, great charachter shown but will England ever win another penalty shootout?

Not until their keeper is prevented from coming two yards off his line every time, and our keeper stops diving to one side before the other side have even put the ball on the spot.
